Popular rice brands Sasanishiki and Hitomebore are grown in this prefecture. Known as the kingdom of fruit, Yamagata is famous for its plantation of fruits such as cherries. Fukushima has both mountain and beach resorts, as well as the famous Kitagata Ramen noodles.
