Sanriku Coast
|
Famous for its deeply-indented coastline (aka ria coast), the Sanriku Coast stretches 600 kms from Aomori to Miyagi prefecture. The region is blessed with abundance of seafood thanks to its geographical location. The Japan Current collides with the Oyashio Current in this region. Along with the currents come lots of fish, which makes the region one of the three great fisheries in the world. Also, the region is known for a number of spots offering outstanding scenic beauties, including Jodogahama Beach and the Goishi Coast.
