The beautifully symmetrical cone shaped mountain is located on the prefectural border between Shizuoka and Yamanashi, and has been worshiped by Japanese people for generations. Climbing Mt. If you are not into mountain climbing, or just want to enjoy the mountain at a leisurely pace, Fujigoko (Fuji Five Lake) region at the northern foot of the mountain is recommended.
