]]> Mt. Goishigamine is located in Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa prefecture and is a part of Ishikawa Prefectural Nature Park and Noto Peninsula Quasi-National Park. The name of the mountain “Goishigamine” comes from the 5 stones (“Go” means 5, “Ishi” means stones in Japanese) on the top. They are said to be meteorites which landed about 1300 years ago.

On top of the mountain (461 meters) you can enjoy a  360-degree panoramic view of Tateyama Mountain Range and Noto Peninsula. It is also a famous spot to see cherry blossoms in spring and to view beautiful red and yellow leaves in autumn. Also, taking advantage of the local strong winds called “Ai no Kaze”, a wind power generating station was constructed in 1999. It is a wonderful experience to enjoy the magnificent view accompanied by cool breeze.

Surrounded by a rich natural environment, the park provides facilities for outdoor activities such as camping, trekking, rowing, and fishing.
