Held at Yasukuni Shrine, Mitama Matsuri Soul Festival is associated with the “Buddhist Bon Festival” with over 30,000 lanterns lit up along the approach to the Shrine from 6 pm to 9:30 pm daily. Various events and performances, such as traditional dances and Mikoshi (portable shrines) carrying, are scheduled in the precincts of the Shrine daily during the festival period.
