Editor's Blog, yae in Japan

Since I was born and raised in Kanto region (Shizuoka), Tohoku has been “mysterious” to me for a long time. I wanted to visit there and after the great earthquake, my feeling or desire became stronger somehow. I just felt — I need to go there.
And, it came true!
Last week, I went to Aomori with two of my housemates. (Aomori is one’s home town.) We have planned to see the famous Nebuta Festival for almost a year. Nebuta was just incredible. This year, most floats had banners of messages to cheer up Tohoku and Japan itself. Those t brought tears to my eyes and gave me an opportunity to think about how I could help peoples who suffered from the disasters again. At the same time, it cheered me up.
From this entry, I would like to report about this great 3-day trip. There are a great number of destinations in Aomori–city of Aomori, Goshogawara, Sannai-Maruyyama Kofun (ruins), cost lines, and Hirosaki Castle. Oh, local dishes are hard to miss, of course!
For now enjoy those photos and look for my next entry.
