Mitsukoshi Department Store
As one of the richest and oldest department stores, Ginza Mitsukoshi was reopened on September 11, 2010 after 2.5 years of renovation. Originally it was opened in 1930 facing the Ginza 4-chome, the new store’s total floor space has expanded to 36,000 square meter with new attractions such as sections called “Ginza Style” and “Ginza Terrace.”

Matsuya Department Store
The Ginza Matsuya Department Store, one of the top sales departments in the district, is worth a visit not only for shopping but also for art and food. The Design Collection and gallery on the seventh floor offer a selection of contemporary and classic wares. The food court in the basement are always packed with customers who shop their daily foods or sweets.

Matsuzakaya Department Store
Opened in 1924, the Matsuzakaya Ginza is the first department store in the Ginza district. It is based in eastern Japan and more focused on younger generations than other department stores in the district. Hence, there are a number of young brands including “Forever 21.”
