Ebisu

Just one station away from JR Shibuya station, Ebisu has a different atmosphere from the neighboring Shibuya and Harajuku. It is a comfy small town featuring numerous unique restaurants, bars and high-class boutiques, all within easy walking distance from Ebisu station.

Yebisu Garden Place

Directly connected to Ebisu station, Yebisu Garden Place is a collective property project managed by Sapporo Holdings Ltd. The micro city was built out of the ruins of a huge beer factory. There are shopping malls, offices, restaurants and residences in it. It is included in the 100 selection of Japanese cityscape for its European landscape.

Another attraction of this area is the Christmas illuminations. As Christmas season comes, the whole micro city is fantastically lighted up, and a great number of people visit here. As a dating spot, it is as popular as Roppongi Hills.

In commemoration of the first brewery, the Beer Museum Yebisu (free of charge) exhibits the history and science of beer brewing in Japan and the world. It offers beer tasting, too.

Both Yebisu Garden Place and the Beer Museum Yebisu open every day. Please note that the museum closes at 7pm and the last tasting tour starts at 5:10pm.
