The Aomori Prefecture Tourism Center, “Asupamu”, is one of the many popular sightseeing spots in Aomori city bay area. It is triangle-shaped, which resembles the initial “A” of “Aomori.”

The ground floor is full of souvenir shops, and the 1st floor has a sightseeing pavilion. Asupamu is the only place on earth where you can try Scallop ice cream. There are restaurants and an impressive observation lounge on the 13th floor. The observation lounge on the top floor offers a lovely view of Aomori City and the Mutsu Bay.
