Annual Meiji Shrine Autumn Festival

Annual Autumn Festival of Meiji Jingu Shrine, Shibuya-ku. Japanese traditional performing arts, such as Bugaku (court dance with music), Noh (masked drama) and Kyogen (Noh farce) are performed during the period. On Nov. 3rd, Yokozuna Dezuiri or the ring-entering ritual of Sumo wrestling demonstrated by Yokozuna (the Grand Champion) from 10 am. And, a demonstration of several Japanese martial arts from 9 am to around 12 noon, and Yabusame (horseback archery) from 1 pm, are held near Nishi-Sando Street in the precincts.
